Recently, I've acquired this BB/Foundation cushion from a pretty well known Korean brand. I've never really tried any Korean Brands except for Aritaum's Liptints, so I can't really say I'm familiar with this type of foundations, but to be quite honest I like the whole concept of it as it kind of mimics the effect of a Beauty Blender; it's literally just patting foundation with a sponge on your skin and I'm a huge fan of Beauty Blenders so I thought this would be a great product to review.
It retails around $45 all the way up to $60 on some websites, depending where you buy it from. It's definitely not a very budget friendly BB Cushion but it does come with a refill so that saves you quite a bit of money. Alternatively you can buy the refills of any BB Cushion from Laneige/Innisfree/Iope as it fits in the case and they are usually cheaper than buying the case and the product together.
It has SPF 34 and it claims to trap the moisture of your skin in and maintain it moisturized throughout the day with a dewy and healthy finish.
First of all let me just say how beautiful the packaging looks and feels. I'm a bit of a sucker for cute packaging and this has absolutely impressed me. I love the iridescent effect and the nice sturdy feel of the product, it makes it seem as premium as it's price tag - rather than cheap and like plastic which is a downfall trait that a lot of drugstore brands have. You're really getting the quality you pay for, even packaging wise.
As we open the box we find the refill and the product itself with the instructions:
I've worn it everyday since I got it and I must say, I love it. I really do! I have combination skin so I thought after a couple of hours using this product my skin would get oily, but it didn't. It resisted for up to about 6h, which was when it started to become more 'dewy' than it already is, honestly it didn't really bother me that much as it was a good type of dewy. After 7-8 hours I definitely had to blot.
It stayed on well and intact for many hours without having to reapply and for that reason it gets another point for quality. It didn't move around my face, or come off nor transfer to anything.

I have the shade #21, at first I thought it would be too light for me as my neck is usually darker than my face but this surprisingly blended very well (?) it matches my face but not my neck entirely. I personally wouldn't consider this a disadvantage but they definitely don't have a wide range of shades, there's only three #13 #21 and #23 (#13 being the lightest). So there's not much to pick from for people with darker skintones.
Also, I forgot to take a picture of the bottom but it has the manufacture date with a 12M symbol (means 12 months) which is the approximate longevity of the product.
When you open the packaging you'll find the little sponge I mentioned earlier, with a mirror and an air tight lid revealing the make-up soaked sponge under it.

On to the actual performance of the product...

In terms of coverage I'd say its light to medium and it's definitely buildable without looking cakey. It didn't cover my blemishes 100% as you can see some are still peeking out but it was okay for an everyday school look. I have a lot of redness on my cheeks and it covered it pretty well but again, not all of it. I'm pretty sure that if I did a second layer it would get covered completely.
This BB Cushion blends really beautifully into the skin, looks natural and feels as if you weren't wearing anything on your face.
I personally love it for an everyday look where I don't want lots of make-up on my face and just want to even out my skintone. But as I said before you can definitely build it up if you are going for a more full coverage look. I'll post some pictures of my face with one layer on.
But one thing I have to mention is that you've got to moisturize really well prior to application, even if you don't have very dry skin. I've tried both ways and everytime I moisturized it looked a hundred times better, and also I've noticed that if you don't moisturize it tends to set into your fine lines and look a bit dry.

P.S: I hope you enjoyed reading this as it's my first post and excuse my awful photographical skills >.<

Will the darkest shade match nc 30 skin tone?
